With the acquisition of the international air and sea transport company ACA, Dachser's Air & Sea Logistics (ASL) network adds six new facilities in Australia and New Zealand.

German multinational Dachser has acquired ACA International, a privately owned air and ocean freight forwarding company, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. This acquisition means that Dachser's air and ocean cargo network now also covers Australia and New Zealand, countries that are not only economically strong, but also closely interconnected with Asia, Europe and North America.

ACA International employs 56 people and generated revenues of around €75 million in 2021. Founded in 1982, the company offers its clients in Australia and New Zealand integrated international transport services, with a particular emphasis on quality, experience, innovation and collaboration, using the latest information technologies.

In Australia, ACA International has offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. In New Zealand, the company has offices in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton. In addition, it has an additional office in Kansas City, USA. ACA International is also present in China. However, these Chinese locations are not part of the acquisition; Dachser has been serving its customers in China from its own offices since 2003.

Continue a trajectory of growth

For the past 14 years, ACA International has been led by seasoned air and ocean freight logistics professional Adam Cruttenden, who will assume the role of Managing Director ASL Oceania. “This acquisition allows Dachser Air & Sea Logistics to continue its growth trajectory and, by adding Australia and New Zealand, completes the offering of our global network of own offices,” says Edoardo Podestà, COO ASL and Managing Director ASL APAC. "That means we can offer our clients direct access to dynamic economic markets that have attractive local conditions and significant levels of investment."
