Dachser expands its charter program between Europe and Asia

  • Dachser charter flight.

Since the beginning of September, Dachser Air & Sea Logistics' Premium charter program includes the Hong Kong-Frankfurt route. Fixed transit times, reliable planning and organization, and high quality standards are the main characteristics of this integrated transportation solution.

Dachser responds to the severe shortage of air cargo capacity that the coronavirus crisis is causing, expanding its Premium program of charter flights, with the aforementioned Hong Kong-Frankfurt route. The logistics operator also recently added the Frankfurt-Chicago route at the end of July. This new route to Asia has charter cargo planes that fly weekly between Hong Kong and Germany. These charter flights, which began operating in early September, are currently scheduled to operate until the end of the year.

"We are seeing the Asian market picking up pace again and the rate level is increasing, so there is less capacity available in the market," explains Timo Stroh, Head of Global Air Freight at Dachser. "With this service, we are responding to this reality by offering our customers an efficient and reliable Premium air service between Hong Kong and Europe.", Concludes the manager.

Connecting land and air transport

Thanks to its extensive land transport network, Dachser distributes goods from its Frankfurt office throughout Europe with fixed transit times and high quality standards. Dachser's customers gain great benefits: they benefit from an integrated transportation solution provided from a single source, covering the entire chain from sender to final recipient. "By linking the Dachser European Logistics network with the specialized services of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics, we are creating smart solutions for our customers' transportation needs, even taking into account current challenging market conditions," says Alexander Tonn, Managing Director. European Logistics Germany, responsible for Dachser's industrial goods business in Germany.
