Dachser organizes a direct charter flight from China to Spain with medical supplies

  • Dachser charter flight.

The situation derived from Covid-19 has caused a drastic break in the paradigm of air cargo transportation. Dachser has quickly adapted to offer innovative alternatives so that its customers can meet their supply chain commitments.

In the last week, the air cargo division of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics in Spain, has managed the transport of an important load of medical material, adapting an Airbus A340-600 device, usually for passengers, in a cargo charter, achieving thus access to the much-needed and demanded space on this route today.

The merchandise, coming from Beijing, was transported in 5 trucks to the DACHSER Shanghai facilities, where the Dachser team handled all the operational and customs formalities, as well as the peremptory quality control for the export.

From there, the merchandise left for the Hangzhou airport, where he was waiting for the charter flight contracted with the Iberia company, with which he would finally leave for Madrid. 13 aerial pallets were prepared in the hold and the rest of the material was placed and secured in the cabin seats, thus making maximum use of the space on the plane. The merchandise arrived in Spain, in perfect condition and in the expected transit time, on May 28.

DACHSER networks demonstrate once again a perfect management and coordination in a tight operation in time, with a common goal, to provide efficient logistics to its clients and to transmit values, deeply rooted in the company, that promote the culture of social assistance , especially in these difficult times for everyone.
