Dachser transports 250,000 masks for ThyssenKrupp between China and Brazil

  • Charter flight to transport face masks.

In order to face the coronavirus pandemic, Dachser Brasil has coordinated the importation of 250,000 disposable masks for the ThyssenKrupp Elevator company, one of the world's leading companies in the elevator segment.

The masks have been distributed to all the elevator manufacturer's employees in Latin America. Dachser and ThyssenKrupp, both headquartered in Germany, are associated to carry out logistics operations in Brazil and other countries around the world.

The merchandise traveled between the international airports of Shanghai Pudong, Frankfurt and Guarulhos. Once in Brazil, the masks were transported by road from São Paulo to the Salgado Filho International Airport, in Porto Alegre. “The partnership between ThyssenKrupp and Dachser is very strong. We have been local partners for air imports in Brazil for three years and we are very proud ”, explains João Paulo Caldana, Managing Director of Dachser Brasil.

Currently, Dachser is responsible for almost the entire volume of ThyssenKrupp's air imports into Brazil. “We are here to help our clients during these difficult times. Giving a quick response and always meeting their demands are some of the reasons why we have long-term business relationships with our clients in Brazil and around the world, "stated Caldana.

“This time it was a load of considerable size and of great importance, which needed to reach its destination as soon as possible. For this reason, we have opted for a transport route through Asia-Europe-South America, which are also areas of operation for ThyssenKrupp ”.

The two companies have shown a strong commitment to stopping the spread of the coronavirus. Dachser, in addition to efforts to keep the supply chain fully operational and avoid delays in customer shipments - creating new intercontinental routes - has implemented appropriate health precautions from the outset and followed government action regarding the disease.
