Jochen Müller assumes his new position as COO Air & Sea Logistics of Dachser

Since January 1, 2018, Jochen Müller has occupied the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Dachser's Air & Sea Logistics unit. With the retirement of Thomas Reuter, at the end of 2017 and after 39 years working for the company, Müller will assume his duties.

 

Jochen Müller continues the legacy of Thomas Reuter as COO Air & Sea Logistics and a member of the Dachser Executive Board since the beginning of 2018. His main mission will be to continue building a complete intercontinental air and maritime transport network, connected to the European land network. , to offer unique added value to its customers. In October 2016 Jochen Müller began a process of connection and incorporation in the company and, until now, he has worked on various projects related to air and maritime transport and has become familiar with Dachser's culture and values ​​and his future responsibilities. "Jochen Müller has been perfectly integrated into the company's structures and now knows all the challenges and processes of our business internationally," said Bernhard Simon, CEO of Dachser.

In his long professional career, Müller has been a member of the Board of Directors of Schenker Deutschland AG as head of Central European air transport, sales and logistics. To this is added his previous position as CEO of the British subsidiary of Schenker, assuming powers in the transport by land, sea and air in the area.

For his part, Thomas Reuter, has worked for Dachser since 1978 and since early 2006 he became a member of the Executive Board. His contribution has been essential in the internationalization of logistics services and the creation of a global network for maritime and air transport. Currently, the Air & Sea Logistics business unit has 172 of its own locations and employs more than 4,000 professionals worldwide. In 2016, Dachser ASL generated a turnover of € 1.5 billion. After his retirement, Thomas Reuter will continue to be linked to Dachser, through his participation in bodies related to the sector, such as the board of the World Air Cargo Association (WACO) and through the representation of the company in the companies of the companies Jet-Speed ​​GmbH and NNR + Dachser GmbH.
