Dachser's LCL groupage service between Hamburg and Chile grows 35%. Customers, such as mining and minerals leader Outotec, turn to Dachser's weekly LCL service to meet their ocean freight needs.

Dachser Chile has announced that the weekly groupage service that it manages between Hamburg (Germany) and San Antonio (Chile) has shown an increase of 35% since its launch last April. The logistics operator plans to expand the service to respond to the growing needs of the market.

Dachser's weekly Less-than-Container-Load (LCL) solution between Germany and Chile offers a door-to-door transit time of between 30 and 32 days, from its departure from the German port to its arrival at the end customer. The service appeals to companies looking for solutions to help them plan, optimize and manage their supply chains. "With LCL cargo volumes between Europe and Chile constantly growing, Dachser Chile's ability to offer a fixed itinerary in a highly unpredictable market has generated demand that has exceeded our expectations," said Frank Habermann, Managing Director of Dachser Chile. "Our clients have asked us for an efficient and effective solution in terms of costs, with reliable transit times and Dachser Chile has complied with this", added the manager.
