Milk consumption in Europe was not fully establihed among the first peasant populations
Milk consumption in Europe 7,000 years ago was very uneven among the first peasant populations.
This is confirmed in a study published today in the journal Nature Communications and whose signatures include a researcher from the IPHES and the URV, Xosé-Pedro Rodríguez.
An international research team, led by researcher Miriam Cubas (York University-University of Oviedo), has managed to recover residues from culinary activities in the vessels used by prehistoric societies from 7,500-5,500 years ago. The results have been published in the journal Nature Communications and among the signatories is Xosé-Pedro Rodríguez, a researcher at the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES) and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).
