Presentation in Zamora of the 1st contest The Best Cod in Spain and the 1st edition of the Author's Codfish Conference.
Zamora, synonymous with excellence in the quality of its products, cod in its different varieties being the emblematic dish of the province, will host next Monday, September 14, at 11:30 a.m., the presentation of the I contest "The Best Cod de España ”and the 1st edition of the Author's Codfish Conference.
The event, which will take place in the Zamora Provincial Council, will be chaired by Jesús María Prada Saavedra, Second Vice President and delegate of the area of Education, Culture, Sports, Tourism and Promotion of the Zamora Territory; José Luis Álvarez, manager of Bacalaos El Barquero; and the entrepreneur and gastronomic communicator Nacho Sandoval.
In this first edition of the contest, whose registration period opened on August 21, the organization expects more than 100 restaurants from all over Spain to participate, offering dishes and tapas made with cod from extractive fishing, with fishing lines and hooks.
